A Sand Sculpture Depicting a Bird (Symbolizing Time) Escaping From a Crack in the Face of a Gigantic Pocket Watch Seen During the 2018 Master Sand Sculpting Competition at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire (Originally Published on Gargoyles and Grotesques on August 13, 2019)

  1. I love sand sculptures. We have a competition at Treasure Island beach where I stay. It’s International, we several countries take part in it.

    • I really love sand sculptures too! I am so amazed how these artists can sculpt such elaborate and detailed creations from such an unlikely medium. The competition at Treasure Island sounds wonderful. I believe the one at Hampton Beach is international too. Though I think most of the entries come from the New England states and Canada, there always seem to be some sculptors from Europe as well.
